Do you enjoy soaking in a nice hot bath? Bath Salts + Essential Oils = Relaxation. Although rare, I enjoy a relaxing bath from time to time. However, before essential oils, I had NO idea what I was missing! And endless amount of recipes for a soothing, relaxing, supporting bath. I would love to share a few of my favorites with you.
Let’start with the basic recipe…
1 Cup Epsom Salts
¼ Baking Soda
8-10 drops YL essential oils
(The Essential Oil of choice will depend upon what type of bath you’re wanting).
In a pint size glass mason jar, mix together Epsom salts and baking soda. Add desired essential oils directly to the salts and soda. It is very important to add the oils in this order. If you just add directly to bath water, the oils will float on the surface. Screw the lid on, give a good shake and add to your bath water. You can also make the dry mixture in bulk. Pour some out in your hand, drop your oils on top, and toss into the hot water. (This is how I do it).

In conclusion, I feel it necessary to share this bit of info. Essential oils are not always pleasant fragrance. You are not using these oils for the smell… you’re using them for the support and wellness they offer to your body. Don’t give up on the oil if you hate the smell. Give it a chance. Start out with 1-2 drops and build up. Trust me on this. I let my oils sit in the box for several months after purchasing them all because I opened the bottles and smelled. These oils are super powerful and super concentrated. Once the oils are in a carrier, such as salt, the smell isn’t as strong. Let me know what you think?? Enjoy your bath!!
